Stakelums Home & Hardware’s first ecommerce website launched in 2014. During the initial COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, they started investigating other Irish market providers to enhance their online capabilities.

Magico supported Stakelums in their successful Enterprise Ireland Online Retail Scheme grant application. Once approved, the existing online store was transformed by the site’s integration to their ePOS which streamlined stock level, pricing and order download processes.

Resolving many of the challenges they had faced with their existing online presence, could now offer their customers an improved experience.

There are currently over 5,000 products live on and the integration with their EPOS now allows them to easily web-enable products at the push of a button.

“Having a functioning ecommerce website is extremely important, which became absolutely evident during COVID-19 lockdowns, as we could continue to sell online, processing orders behind closed doors.

In 2020, more customers ordered online than ever before, and many for the first time. With the new website launch in October of that year, we had the capability to add extra categories and products that we had never sold online previously, better representing the extensive range available in our physical store.
